If there is any one person who personifies and deifies Bollywood, then it is undoubtedly Amitabh Bachchan – the Big B of Bollywood. He has been ruling the box office and the hearts of the people for well-nigh 47 years like a Shahenshah.
He hit the silver screen with Saat Hindustani in the year 1969 and even today he rules the hearts of over 1.25 Billion Indians. His Parwana may not have rocked the box office but today the entire country is his Deewana. He was a mute villain in Reshma Aur Shera. But his baritone has boomed over Bollywood for more than four decades. His was a guest appearance in Guddi, but ultimately he took the Guddi home and their Pyaar Ki Kahani bloomed as Sanjog took over and they danced to the tune of Bansi Birju.

His Ek Nazar was enough to smite the hearts of many a damsel as he marched along dodging all Raaste Ka Patthar on his way from Bombay To Goa.

Between the years 1972 and 1973 Amitabh’s Bandhe Haath unleashed the Zanjeer of his destiny and was born Vijay, the Angry Young Man of Indian Cinema.

His Gehri Chaal did not checkmate the box-office but his Maan skyrocketed with Abhimaan, as he became a Saudagar who could never be a Namak Haraam. He faced the Kasauti of his life as he trail blazed his way into history from being Benaam.

Now, he had no need to think about Roti, Kapda aur Makaan as his films set the Box Office counters ringing. He was no longer Majboor and could make the audience laugh through Chupke Chupke. His mesmerizing presence ensured that the audiences did not go Faraar from the theatres and ensured that the film industry ko apna due Mili.
Vijay a.k.a Amitabh ensured that there was no Deewar standing as he strode broodingly across the Mumbai Dockyards. His Zameer ensured that his career had a volcanic eruption with Sholay. Though he starred in Do Anjane, he was one with his audience, romancing them Kabhie Kabhie without any Hera Pheri.

The Alaap of his Baritone resounded across the homes of India as he hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati.

His following encompassed all barriers of caste or religion and Amar, Akbar, Anthony were equally enthralled by his magical screen presence.

Amitabh Bachchan continued to treat his work as his Imaan Dharam and shed his Khoon Pasina as a tribute to his Parvarish. He straddled the silver screens like a Don and showed the world why he was a real Muquaddar Ka Sikandar. There was many a Kaala Patthar on the way but he strode to an unknown Manzil with the aplomb of The Great Gambler credibly convincing everyone that Do Aur Do Panch.

Amitabhh’s Yaarana and Dostana with the people continued and the Mahaan Silsila of his reign as the uncrowned king of Bollywood went on and on.

But Barsaat Ki Ek Raat ; time stood still as India let out a collective Pukar as their Shahenshah was seriously injured on the sets of Coolie and seemed to have embarked on the Aakhri Raasta. However the Mohabattein of the people saw the Sooryavanshi fight his way through the Agneepath and emerge as the undisputed Sarkar of their love. The Black moments had passed and all was well in the Baghban of Bollywood. Today, the superstar continues to bring Inquilaab in the country by administering Do Boond Zindagi Ki.  Amitabh Bachchan continues to preside over Bollywood with his towering personality and booming voice, there is no Cheeni Kum in his acting or star value even though he has becomes a Pa to Piku.
