It was perfect timing, Christmas was in the air, and after a gruelling week at work, we were looking forward to a nice break, far away from our city of Bangalore. We zeroed in on the Club Mahindra Puducherry to spend a few days pampering ourselves for over the weekend and beyond. Pondicherry makes for a nice road trip from Bangalore, because of its beaches, French architecture and ethos, the Auroville Ashram, its cafes, and much more. Read on to learn more about our experience of staying at the Club Mahindra Puducherry Resort.

Club Mahindra Puducherry Review
Pondicherry offers much in terms of places to see and things to do to the tourist. However the trip this time was more of a family trip just to spend some quality time together, relaxing and of course lounging on the beach. This was the primary reason that we had chosen to stay at the Club Mahindra Puducherry which is located away from the city in a secluded corner.
Location of Club Mahindra Puducherry Resort | Pondicherry
The location of the Club Mahindra Pondicerry resort is ideal if you are looking to spend time away from the hustle and bustle of a city. It is far from the centre of Pondicherry in a secluded area. However, the points of interest are at an easily drivable distance. The best part of the Club Mahindra Puducherry is its access to the beach.
Though it is not one of the Pondicherry resorts with private beach, it is as good as having a private beach. Just behind the resort, there is a long stretch of secluded beach, where one can spend hours in secluded solitude.
- The Club Mahindra Puducherry resort is located about 17 kilometres from Pondicherry downtown
- Club Mahindra Puducherry address is, Cummune Panchayat, RS No. 200/201, Valluvar Medu, Bahour, Manapet, Puducherry 607402
Accommodation At Club Mahindra Puducherry
We really loved the accommodation at the Club Mahindra Pondicherry resort. The resort sprawls over 24 acres and is bordered by the sea on one side. One wakes up to the sounds of the birds in the morning, feeling one with nature. The rooms themselves are actually independent villas with balconies on the first floor and sit-outs on the ground floor. Landscaped gardens, lawns, and lush greenery all around is pleasing to the senses.
The best part is that the villas are environment friendly and in harmony with the surroundings. An open to the sky bathroom adds to the ambience. The rooms are spacious and kid-friendly. All rooms have all required amenities including a mini-fridge, tea/coffee maker, ironing board, air-conditioning, and telephone.
The Grounds
The grounds are huge and include gardens and open space to play cricket or football. One can cycle or walk around the grounds.
A path leads to the beach, which is an awesome place to watch the sunrise and feel the soothing effect of waves and sand on your feet.
If you so prefer, you can choose to simply lounge in a hammock with a book amongst the trees above a lush green lawn.
The Restaurant & Food
The food is really good there is a sumptuous breakfast buffet that includes local south Indian cuisine, continental cuisine, and Pan-Asian cuisine. Breakfast is complimentary with stay depending on the package that you have opted for.
If you have not opted for lunch and dinner, it would be on the expensive side. It is best to take a plan that includes all meals if you are planning to spend time at the resort, as there are no restaurants outside in the vicinity.
Other Facilities & Services
There are many activities and avenues for leisure activities at the Club Mahindra Puducherry, one of the best Pondicherry resorts. There is a swimming pool, and games like Table Tennis, Cricket, Football, Volleyball.
Activities like Zorbing, cycling, etc., keep the guests occupied. There is also a fitness centre for those who like to stick to their fitness regime. The resort also organizes activities like cooking classes, cultural shows, etc., and of course, above all, there is the beach!

What a nice resort and a great place to vacation for me and my husband. Thanks for sharing!
Looks awesome guys! I loved Pondy! I spent a month in Pondicherry in 2013. We rented a beautiful apartment about 5 minutes away from the beach. We walked the sidewalk by the beach every night, when things cooled off. Also fed the street dogs. What a fun town. I had a blast enjoying the French architecture.

What a gorgeous capture. The resort looks worth staying. Puducherry itself is a peaceful and quiet place as much I have heard about. Want to explore this.
The pictures speak for itself just how beautiful the resort is. I love that it has a lot of amenities and outdoor activities for the guests. I especially love bicycling!
