The call of the outdoors
I looked up at the cloudy sky and let out a deep sigh.
as I spotted a jet making a pattern in the sky so high.
I realized it was time for me to move out of the rut.
say a temporary goodbye to my routine and simply get out!
get out onto the great outdoors and inhale the exhilarating scent of freedom,
it was time to break away from the apron strings of my mom.
I yearned to travel free like the gypsies with the sky as a roof.
Stars as bed lights and feel the the soft grass on my virgin feet.
I packed my backpack, hoisted it on my shoulder and walked out,
to have my rendezvous with the world and my tryst with nature.
Thank you 🙂
Looks awesome! And I totally agree 🙂
Thank you so much Amanda 🙂
I was raised on a farm and spent my time outdoors and in the woods. There is nothing like it.
Wow, that’s interesting to know. How I wish I could escape the urban jungle! 🙂
Nature knocks on our door often. So glad to hear your answering! Beautiful post.
Thank you 🙂

Seeing planes in the sky always makes me want to get out and get going somewhere!
Exactly.
Nice pictures!
Thank you Kate. 🙂
Hi Sandy, you are spot on. I’m guilty of spending far too much time at my computer, even living in gorgeous Colorado. Being outside fills my soul in so many ways!
Thank you Sheila. I feel that the we get hooked to these gadgets so much that they take away so much of our time. We could actually spend that same time with family, friends or chill out outdoors! The fresh air, the morning sun, the soft grass under the feet or the waves touching your feet on a beach really fill our souls with so much happiness and peace.
What a cute, refreshing post 🙂 I was literally just thinking about what it would be like to write a post entirely in rhyme, or recount a travel experience as a poem. I like “stars as bed lights”, that’s beautiful. Sharing!
