RDTM 2025 in Jaipur — A New Chapter in Rajasthan’s Tourism Story

RDTM 2025 in Jaipur

Rajasthan enchants like a timeless raga — the golden sweep of desert sands, the haunting strains of the songs of the Manganiyars, palaces and forts that whisper history, flavours that linger with rustic earthiness, and the abiding warmth of its people. Together, they weave a spell that beckons travellers from far and wide.

The Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) has been at the vanguard of harnessing the state’s tourism wealth, showcasing Rajasthan’s diverse treasures with vision and purpose. It is a premier industry body dedicated to promoting tourism and hospitality in Rajasthan. Formed as a collective of leading hoteliers, travel operators, and stakeholders, FHTR works to position Rajasthan as a world-class destination.

It organizes flagship events such as the Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM), creating platforms for dialogue, partnerships, and policy advocacy. By bridging the gap between the government and private sector, FHTR plays a pivotal role in shaping tourism strategies, fostering sustainable practices, and ensuring Rajasthan’s rich heritage and diverse experiences reach global and domestic audiences.

RDTM 2025 marked the 5th edition of the Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart, distinguished by its expanded scale and enhanced impact. As media partners, we were privileged to enjoy a ringside perspective of the event, engaging directly with the organizers, buyers, sellers, and distinguished dignitaries who graced the occasion.

Jaipur is famously known as the “Pink City” due to the distinctive colour of its buildings, especially in the old city area. This tradition dates back to 1876, when Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh I ordered the entire city to be painted terracotta pink to welcome the visit of Prince Albert, the Prince of Wales. The pink color was chosen because it symbolizes hospitality in Indian culture.

The City Palace Jaipur, an architectural masterpiece in the heart of the Pink City, stands as a resplendent symbol of Rajasthan’s regal heritage. Built in the early 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, it reflects the grandeur of its royal lineage. Even today, the palace serves as a residence for the royal family, embodying a living tradition of culture and majesty. The sprawling courtyards, and ornate gateways, complete with caparisoned elephants, and folk dancers, provided the perfect backdrop for the inauguration of RDTM 2025.

As twilight descended, the splendid courtyards of the City Palace stirred to life, welcoming delegates from across India. The air reverberated with the rhythm of traditional folk performances, while majestically adorned elephants lent an aura of regal grandeur to the inaugural session of RDTM 2025.
