The Kumbha Residency, Kumbhalgarh, Rajasthan, India – Hotel Review

It was winter and the year was about to end. The weather was perfect for a road trip across Rajasthan in India to explore some new places. We started our exploration from Jaipur and it culminated at Udaipur. We covered some amazing places of Rajasthan including the Tiger land of Ranthambore, historical Chittorgarh, Kumbhalgarh, Nathdwara, and Ranakpur. As the trip was one of our personal family trips, we had planned and booked well in advance. While planning our travels we spend a lot of time in finalizing our hotels. This post is a part of the series where we are reviewing the different hotels that we stayed in during our Rajasthan sojourn on our travel blog, and hope that this will be useful to those planning a trip to Rajasthan. We had booked a beautiful property called The Kumbha Residency for our stay in Kumbhalgarh, and that is where we found ourselves, one fine evening.

It was evening as we reached Kumbhalgarh driving through some spectacular landscapes. Kumbhalgarh glittered with colourful lights that shone from the many resorts that dot this fort city. It made a pretty sight and the excitement of reaching a new place got to us as we sat glued to the windows, taking in the colourful sights around us. Soon we drove into the impressive portico of The Kumbha Residency, a 4-Star hotel in Kumbhalgarh and one of the best resorts at Kumbhalgarh.

Location Of The Kumbha Residency

The Kumbha Residency is located centrally in the midst of spacious natural landscapes. Behind the resort can be seen green undulating valleys that present a beautiful sight, especially in the mornings when the first rays of the sun emerge from the eastern horizon.

Accommodation At The Kumbha Residency

We loved our room at The Kumbha Residency, one of the best Kumbhalgarh hotels, it was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with all modern amenities. The hotel offers premium Valley facing rooms with wonderful views of the valley as well as Superior rooms.

All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, Coffee Maker, Intercom, well-stocked soft bar, Flat-screen LED TV, and Intercom. It was a pleasure waking up in these luxurious and spacious rooms after experiencing an excellent quality of sleep.

The Grounds

The Kumbha Residency is located in the midst of sprawling lawns. There is a huge lawn in front of the swimming pool, where one can lounge and enjoy the morning or evening breeze.

There is also a beautiful open space with canopies and stepped seating places that are cool to just relax and lounge. The grounds in which the hotel stands are so spacious and pristine that one can go for long morning walks within the hotel grounds.

Restaurant & Food at The Kumbha Residency

The food at The Kumbha Residency was delicious. The buffet breakfast had an ample spread that included a selection of juices and fruits. Traditional Indian and local cuisine apart from continental options featured in the buffet. Lunch and dinner too were elaborate affairs with the food being authentic and tasty.

Other Facilities & Service at The Kumbha Residency

The Kumbha Residency offers quite a range of facilities and services that make it a very nice option for a relaxed stay amidst its salubrious surroundings. The following are some of the facilities it offers, though we did not avail of most of the services, except for a game of Table Tennis in the recreation room.
