The Noor-Us-Sabah Palace hotel was once an actual palace. It was built by Hamidullah Khan, the last ruling Nawab of Bhopal. The palace was built for his eldest daughter Abida Sultan, around the year 1920. The palace ranked as one of the best residential palaces in Bhopal in those days. The name of the hotel literally translates as, “Light of Dawn.” The hotel which was once a palace gives a glimpse of the royal living of a bygone era.

The Noor-Us-Sabah stands nestled behind green foliage at an elevation overlooking the upper lake of Bhopal.
