Our exploration of the rich heritage and culture of India along with the Times Passion Trail began with Bhopal. Given the royal past of Bhopal, it was but fitting that we stayed at the palatial Jehan Numa Palace on our first day and on the second day stayed at the Jehan Numa Retreat, both properties of the royal family of Bhopal. Here we bring to you our Jehan Numa Retreat review based on our experience at the property.

After spending a day at the Jehan Numa Palace we moved to the Jehan Numa Retreat where we spent a day and a night. Jehan Numa Retreat is said to be the best luxury resort in Bhopal and we share the experience of our stay at the hotel in this review post.

Accommodation At The Jehan Numa Retreat
The Jehan Numa Retreat offers elegantly furnished premium suites. These are self-contained and independent stand-alone cottages. We really liked the rooms which were comfortable and nestled in the midst of nature.
At the rear of the suite, the doors opened to a lovely sit out that looked on to a form. One could spend hours lazing there listening to the sounds of nature.
The rooms come with comfortable and luxurious beds and all amenities to pamper guests. There is a big study table and sofa to lounge in too.

Jehan Numa Retreat – The Grounds
The hotel nestles prettily in the midst of verdant nature. It is a green paradise with the raw pristineness of nature all around, well preserved. Large stretches of farms instil a sense of calm and the fresh air and open spaces all around connect you with nature.
Other Amenities At Jehan Numa Retreat
This luxury resort in Bhopal is an ideal place to relax and rejuvenate in the midst of nature. It offers many facilities for leisure including an outdoor swimming pool.
The Jehan Numa Retreat Club & Spa includes the Chakra Spa which offers rejuvenating therapies including massages, and other relaxing treatments. A fitness centre and sauna are also part of the Jehan Numa Retreat Club and Spa Bhopal.
For those interested in getting in some fresh air, cycling around the property is an invigorating activity.
Restaurant And Dining At Jehan Numa Retreat
There are three Restaurants at Jehan Numa Retreat that serve some amazing fare. There is an outdoor restaurant that is interestingly named as Under The Jamun Tree. We had our breakfast here, and it was a lovely experience heightened by the greenery all around and of course the Jamun trees.
The Coriander Leaf is a fine dining restaurant of the Jehan Numa Retreat that serves the best of dishes from cuisines across the world. One can choose to dine inside the restaurant and enjoy its ambience or enjoy the experience of dining at the outdoor deck. We had our lunch in this lovely restaurant.
The Green House Bistro is a Jehan Numa Retreat Cafe uniquely located within a greenhouse. One can chill in the comfortable cafe surrounded by fragrant flowers, and other plants. The Bistro serves comfort food made of all organic ingredients grown right next to the cafe.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Jehan Numa Retreat and would love to go back for a longer stay. The place is indeed a green paradise where one can have a relaxing stay in the midst of nature.

I would love to visit this place! Looks fabulous and serene, yet luxurious. My uncle lived in Bhopal for many years but somehow I never got around to visiting them – I was 10 when they moved from Bhopal. MP is a great travel destination and I have it on my wish list, Sandy!

The Jehan Numa Retreat looks absolutely amazing. I love that it offers free standing accommodation since I love having privacy and not being right next door to other people.

This retreat looks good, especially the stand alone cottages are a tempting option. I loved the way they presented the food, and the ambience described by you looks amazing. During me next bhopal trip will book a stay here, to experience the place.
What I loved the most is the rustic feel to the place with all modern amenities in place.. ideal for family vacations.
