Our 7-day Vietnam Trip From India was propelled by Vietnam Airlines and we experienced not one or two but 5 Vietnam Airlines flights in a space of 10 days, hence this Vietnam Airlines Review. We flew from Delhi to Hanoi, and then from Hanoi to Nha Trang, and again from Nha Trang to Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam Airlines India
It would be our first time in Vietnam and having read rave reviews of the country and its attractions, we were truly excited to experience it first-hand. So, it was with a lot of excitement that we got ready for our first visit to Vietnam. We flew to Hanoi on a Vietnam Airlines flight from Delhi. We flew Vietnam Airlines to access destinations within Vietnam too, before taking the Hanoi-Delhi flight back to India. Vietnam Airlines is the official Flag Carrier of Vietnam. Vietnam Airlines Review – Based On Personal Experience
Vietnam Airlines is a 4-star global airline and also the flag carrier airline of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. We looked forward to flying with the airline as it had a reputation of quality services as compared to other low-cost airlines that also fly to Vietnam from India. Vietnam Airlines has flights to Hanoi from Delhi and Mumbai. Besides India to Vietnam flights, there are flights to Vietnam from destinations across Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, and the USA.
Check-In Experience | Vietnam Airlines
We were boarding our Vietnam Airlines flight to Hanoi from the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, Terminal 3. We had flown to Delhi from Bangalore and had spent some time at the airport. So we were quite relieved when the Check-In process began. We were happy to note that the staff at the counter were courteous and helpful and had a smile on their face which was for us a sign of things to come on our Vietnam trip.
The check-in process was smooth and fast. We were also happy that the check-in baggage allowance was 23 Kg of a single piece of luggage per person and one piece of cabin baggage. It was a 7-day trip of Vietnam and our luggage reflected that. We left the check-in counters of Vietnam Airlines, buoyed by the experience.
Vietnam Airlines – The Flight To Hanoi | India To Vietnam Flight
After we had cleared immigration and security check, and spending some relaxing time at the airport lounge, it was time to board our India to Vietnam flight, that would take us to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. The cabin crew welcomed us aboard warmly with the traditional Vietnamese greeting, “Xin chào” and made us comfortable in our seats.
We settled comfortably with the blanket and pillow provided by the airline in our seats for the approximately 4-hour and 15-minute flight from Delhi to Hanoi.
Vietnam Airlines India – On Board Food & Beverages
Vietnam Airlines has on offer satisfying meals both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Being vegetarian we had pre-opted for vegetarian meals, however, based on past experiences were a bit apprehensive about the food that would be served to us. But all our fears were unfounded, as we were served tasty, healthy, and completely vegetarian fare. Regarding beverages, the cabin crew who were the epitome of politeness had on offer a choice of wine, beer and other alcoholic drinks. However, being teetotallers, we settled for fruit juices, coffee, and tea.
Flying Within Vietnam
We not only flew to Hanoi from Delhi and back on Vietnam Airlines but also travelled internally on their domestic flights within Vietnam. We were pleased to see the same degree of efficiency and warmth in the service in the domestic sector as was exhibited in the international sector.

For a four-hour and long flight it is important that the food served in the flight be good and the flight be comfortable, being myself a vegetarian too I am glad Vietnam Airlines scores well on both accounts including hassle-free immigration and a decent luggage limit.
Wow. There are so many positives. Vietnam Airlines absolutely stands out as a top choice, providing excellent value for money. With direct flights from Delhi and Mumbai, it a compelling and practical choice for travel to Vietnam.
We added Vietnam in our travel bucket list in 2020 and planned to cover it around 2022-23 but the pandemic made things difficult. We have still not come to terms with it. I have had extremely bad experiences with British Airways and American Airlines. Comparatively, Vietnam Airlines seems to be great. Will surely try flying in it, once I decide when.
