This month heralds Diwali — a season of resplendent lights and radiant smiles, a celebration of the triumph of goodness, and a time to revel in the joy of living and giving. Wishing you all a vibrant and colourful Diwali from us. Diwali finds its roots in the timeless epic of the Ramayana, and, as if by divine design, as September drew to a close, we found ourselves in Sri Lanka — a land that played a pivotal role in that sacred saga. In fact we were blessed to experience the divine vibes of the Seetha Amman temple in Nuwara Eliya, that is believed to have been the Ashoka Vatika of the Ramayana.
We were honoured to be part of the 15-member global media delegation covering the fifth edition of the Sri Lanka MICE Expo 2025 in Colombo. The event saw the convergence of MICE operators from over 30 countries for meaningful business interactions with more than 110 Sri Lankan service providers. The significance of the occasion was underscored by its inauguration by none other than the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya. The event that marked the beginning of a new chapter in Sri Lanka tourism was organized by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, under the aegis of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism.
October, 2, also marked the birth anniversary of a man whose birth changed the destiny of India and the world, that man, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, went on to become the architect of India’s freedom struggle and subsequent independence. Did you know, that Mahatma Gandhi had once visited Sri Lanka? In November 1927, Mahatma Gandhi visited Sri Lanka, then Ceylon, spreading his message of non-violence, self-reliance, and education. Touring cities like Colombo, Kandy, and Jaffna, he inspired countless people, leaving an enduring impression on the island’s social consciousness and its own journey toward freedom.
As we usher in the prime travel season for India from October to March, a time when more and more people step out of their homes to travel and explore, we wish you the very best.
May this Diwali illuminate your journeys with joy and wonder. Let every path glow with new adventures, every horizon sparkle with hope, and every voyage become pathbreaking.

As you step into its pristine environs, the wind seems to whisper the hallowed names of Lord Rama, and Sita, and you can almost feel the mighty presence of Hanuman, as you watch the mountain stream meandering through the rocks, a stream that is believed to have been sanctified by the touch of Mother Sita.
