We have seen wildlife close up in their natural habitats in the jungles of Africa, we have explored with awe the ancient temples of Siem Reap including the majestic Angkor Wat, we have taken selfies in front of the Eiffel Tower and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, we have spent time with tribals in remote parts of India, and much more. But dreams never end, do they? We have a whole set of dreams awaiting their turn to blossom into reality. One of these dreams is to enjoy the indulgence of a luxury holiday in France.

We dream of spending quality time in the picturesque countryside of France, maybe opting for a vacation rental in France. It would be the stuff that dreams are made of if we could have our own Villa in the midst of the mesmerizing landscapes that are so characteristic of the French countryside.
It would be even better if we could actually stay in a castle. Renting castles in France would indeed be an experience way beyond the ordinary and bordering the surreal for us.

We have visited Paris during our travels but have not explored the beautiful countryside of France. Some of the best places for a satisfying luxury holiday in France for us would be as under, based on recommendations and secondary research.
Gigondas
This is said to be one of the most beautiful towns of Provence, France. A place that looks straight out of a fairytale and is surrounded by wineries. The small town situated atop a hill is a place that seems to be tailor-made for Instagram, with its spectacular views and colourful buildings. A holiday in this place would be like waking up to a dream.
St. Tropez, Cote d’Azur
St Tropes, the famous seaside town of France provides an ideal setting for a luxury holiday in France with its sun, sand, and sea. St Tropez is said to be the soul of the French Rivera and lives up to its image. A holiday in this town is would be a real feast for the senses and experience of ultimate indulgence and pampering.
Chartres, Loire Valley
Loire Valley with its medieval charm beckons enchantingly. The town of Chartres is like a magnet with the Chartres Castle as a lodestone that has visitors from all over in thrall. The town with the old world charm would be an ideal place for having a quiet and luxury holiday in France in serene environs.
