Best Place to Stay in Khajuraho – The Lalit Khajuraho
Our journey to explore the heritage of Madhya Pradesh as part of the Times Passion Trail led us to our final destination, the culmination of the trail, and Khajuraho was a befitting destination for the grand finale of our fascinating journey. We reached Khajuraho late in the night and were welcomed into the comfortable environs of The Lalit Khajuraho, one of the luxury hotels in Khajuraho India.
Location Of The Lalit Khajuraho
The Lalit Khajuraho is located centrally on a sprawling campus in the centre of Khajuraho. The location is excellent for Khajuraho sightseeing as the Western Group of temples are just 3 kilometres away and the Eastern Group of Temples are at a distance of 2.4 kilometres, the famous Kandariya Mahadev temple is located about 3 kilometres from the premises of The Lalit Ashok Khajuraho.
We found the location ideal as it is located in a peaceful and serene area and is one of the closest hotels near Khajuraho temples including the Kandariya Mahadev and other famous temples of Khajuraho.

The Gardens At The Lalit Temple View Khajuraho
One of the highlights of our stay at The Lalit Temple View Khajuraho was the sprawling and well-landscaped gardens in which the hotel is nestled in. An early morning stroll in the tranquil gardens makes for a great start to the day. Colourful flowers sway in greeting as birds serenade you and in the distance, one can see the shikhara of the Lakshmana temple, one of the temples under the Khajuraho Group of Monuments.
The outdoor swimming pool glistens in the morning light, the rays of the sun fall on the idol of Krishna that stands inside an artistic canopy within the garden. Colourful banks of well-pruned bougainvillaea bushes greet visitors as they drive into the hotel.

The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet with a wide selection from a multi-cuisine repertoire.
The Lalit Boulangerie serves a selection of sandwiches, pastries, croissants, salads, etc., from a specially crafted menu.
For those looking to relax with a drink, the cosy environs of Mahua The Bar provides a great ambience.

This hotel looks fantastic, I love that it is so centrally located and those grounds, oh my word! It is always amazing to have a place where you can walk around outside and those grounds look spectacular.

I have been to Mp, specifically Bhopal and it is so picturesque. Khajuraho was on the bucket list which was left out bcz of some issues. Would love to revisit and these rooms by The Lalit seem so opulent.
