Best Hotel in Udaipur – The Maharana Bagh Udaipur, A Luxury Resort
Udaipur is one of the gems of Rajasthan and draws visitors like a magnet with its beautiful lakes and palaces as well as its historic forts. We reached Udaipur after an exhausting trip and looked forward to some relaxing time combined with sightseeing in Udaipur. The Maharana Bagh turned out to be a perfect place for us to relax and rejuvenate before flying back home.

Location of The Maharana Bagh Udaipur
The Maharana Bagh is located in a pristine valley, surrounded by mountains off the highway that leads to Udaipur (NH 27). It is about 24 kilometres away from Udaipur and makes for an excellent family getaway for residents of Udaipur. For travellers and tourists like us who want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city, The Maharana Bagh is a good choice.
- The nearest airport is the Maharana Pratap Airport at Udaipur at a distance of about 41 kilometres
- The nearest railway station is Udaipur Junction at a distance of about 22 kilometres
- The famous City Palace of Udaipur is at a distance of about 21 kilometres
Accommodation at The Maharana Bagh Udaipur
The Maharana Bagh Udaipur has Super Deluxe rooms which are actually mini-cottages having nice views of the valley and mountains. The rooms are super spacious and can accommodate three persons. The rooms are clean and well furnished. The rooms are all air-conditioned and furnished with all required amenities including a refrigerator, LED TV, Coffee Maker, etc..
The room also has a sit-out that looked onto the valley and mountains beyond. WiFi was an issue in the room as it was away from the reception area. But we were fine as we wanted to relax in the resort.
Other Amenities At The Maharana Bagh
The Maharana Bagh is a sprawling resort complex with well-landscaped gardens. It has a beautiful outdoor swimming pool along with a gym. They also have a Spa and an activity room with indoor games like Chess, Table Tennis, Carrom etc..
Cultural programmes including local folk dances are organized on the grounds of the resort.
Restaurant & Food at The Maharana Bagh
Breakfast and Lunch/Dinner is served in the multi-cuisine restaurant of the resort. We found the food tasty and satisfying. The service too was courteous and warm.

What a beautiful hotel! The pics are gorgeous! I wouldn’t mind a swim in that lovely pool right now. The local attractions are also stunning. Just love the architecture of the buildings. Definitely worth a visit.
I haven’t been to India yet, but I plan to go in the next few years! I haven’t researched much what area or what resorts, but I will be sure to circle back around to here as a resource. Those rooms are so beautiful and I love the landscape!
The Maharana Bagh looks fantastic. I love that it is away from the town with such fantastic mountain views. I love being away from it all.
It is good to know that the wifi wasn’t great. While I very often choose a place that does not have wifi or even phone reception there are times when I need to get some work done.
I have not traveled to Udaipur yet but Maharana Bagh definitely looks like a good option for the staying purpose. I have stayed in Truuly resorts and hotels, and found them nice and comfortable for staying purpose. Good and informative review.
Maharana Bagh seems to be very beautifully decored. Simply loved the art work shown in pics. The rooms look so elegant. I am sure it was a perfect stay at Udaipur.
Looks wonderful. It has all the amenities. Would love to see sone of local folk dances too. The food looks awesome. And obe can shed the extra calories in the gym too. But above everything, the pool is love.

I have never been to Udaipur before. I so wish I had gone when I had the chance, anyway in the next few years maybe. This hotel seems like a beautiful place to stay. I am always on the lookout for some beautiful properties and the Maharana Bagh just fit the bill.
