IITM 2019
The 114th edition of the “India International Travel Mart”, was inaugurated at the Bangalore Palace by Mr. Pravin Kumar, Principal Secretary Andhra Pradesh Tourism. Also present on the occasion were Praveen Kumar Ceo Andhra Pradesh Tourism, Mr. Manu Chairman IATO Karnataka, Mr. Vinod President Andaman association, and Mr, Rohit Hangal Director of Sphere Travelmedia & Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd. IITM 2019 in Bangalore is on from Aug-02 to Aug-04 2019. Sphere Travelmedia & Exhibitions have completed two decades of providing a platform for the travel industry to interact and catalyze B2B and B2C networking.
Highlights Of IITM 2019
Showcasing of MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises)
One of the main features of IITM 2019 is that it is showcasing the MSME segment. An entire pavilion with 50 stalls is dedicated to the MSME under the aegis of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
It is noteworthy that of these, 33 stalls are of Women entrepreneurs.
The beautiful and colorful stalls showcase products ranging from handicrafts, food products, pottery, and much more.
The stalls have been provided to the entrepreneurs at subsidized costs as per the guidelines of the scheme of Government of India.
Mongolian Yurt Launched at IITM 2019
IITM 2019 provided the perfect launching pad for an innovative concept. “The Out Factory”, showcased its innovative product, the modern and contemporary version of the Mongolian Yurt. The traditional Mongolian Yurt is a circular and portable tent made of felt and skins which was used by various nomadic groups in Mongolia and other parts of Central Asia. The traditional Mongolian Yurt has been given a makeover by, “The Out Factory” and it is a beautiful and luxurious dwelling unit that can be easily configured in the lap of nature. It is a green alternative to prefab homes, containers, and mobile homes, and is more cost-effective too.
Rajasthan Road Show
Rajasthan Tourism hosted their Roadshow at the IITM 2019. The Roadshow evinced a lot of interest and response with more than 100 travel agents from Bangalore participating and interacting.
Showcasing Andaman – A Many Dimensional Destination
One of the most exotic holiday destinations in India is the Andaman Islands. The islands which are known for their gorgeous beaches and clear waters has much more to offer tourists. There is history, culture, nature, and adventure waiting to enchant the travelers. We spoke to Mr. M.Vinod, President, Andaman Association of Tour Operators and below is what he has to say about what the Andamans has to offer.
National & International Participation
The IITM 2019 has wide participation across different segments of travel and encompasses Tourism Boards, Hospitality Industry, Travel agents, etc,. The international participants are from Europe, China, Bahrain, Singapore, Dubai, etc..
The Indian states of Gujarat, Kerala, and Rajasthan are participating as partner states while the states of Madhya Pradesh, Goa, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu are the featured destinations. Karnataka is, of course, the Host state while Delhi, Meghalaya, Lakshadweep, Jharkhand, and Uttarakhand are the Focus states at IITM 2019.
The IITM 2019 is indeed a place that brings under one roof the movers and shakers of the travel industry. It is a perfect platform for B2B connect as well as an ideal place for the dissemination of information about destinations and other travel-related products and services directly to customers.
The IITM 2019 is on from 02 Aug to 04 Aug at the Bengaluru Palace, Vasanth Nagar Entrance from 11 AM to 7 PM.
