Places to visit in Nepal – Maya Devi Temple Lumbini
One of the most important places to visit in Nepal is Lumbini. This features in most Nepal tour packages and is one of the prime places in the Buddhist circuit. Lumbini is where the Buddha was born. Mayadevi temple is a temple dedicated to Buddha’s mother Maya Devi. The main attractions of the temple are the spot where the Buddha was said to have born where there is a marker, the famous Nativity Sculpture that depicts the birth of the Buddha, and the Ashoka Pillar that was erected by Emperor Ashoka to commemorate his visit to Lumbini.
World Peace Pagoda Lumbini

Durbar Square Kathmandu

The Durbar Square is a colorful collection of Royal residences, public places, squares, and temples which are a silent and glowing tribute to the aesthetics of Newari art and architecture. Durbar Square Bhaktapur
At a distance of about 13 kilometers from Kathmandu is situated the Durbar Square of Bhaktapur, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Bhaktapur Durbar Square too is a collection of royal residences, temples, and courtyards. The Durbar Square here can be said to consist of four different squares namely Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square, and the Pottery Square. Some of the highlights of the Durbar Square here include the statue of Bhupatindra Malla, the Nyatapola Temple, and the Golden Gate. Durbar Square Patan
Durbar Square Patan is situated in the city of Lalitpur at a distance of about 19 kilometers from Kathmandu. This is the third of the Durbar Squares that form the trinity of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Kathmandu Valley along with the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. This is also one of the important Nepa attractions that one should not miss. The Durbar Square of Patan includes the Royal Palace of the Malla kings and various other temples built in typical Newari architectural style.

A picturesque town high up in the hills which are steeped in history and heritage is Tansen. This is a lovely place that has played an important role in the history of Nepal. It was the capital of the Palpa kingdom and the power center of Nepal before Kathmandu. The enchanting town is made up of cobbled streets, heritage buildings, and temples.
