Enerjuvate Cafe Koramangala – A Veggie Haven
On a lazy Saturday afternoon, we landed up at the Enerjuvate Cafe, nestled in the green environs of Koramangala. The Cafe which is a few meters from a busy junction envelops you in a different world as soon as you step inside.
Colorful glass chandeliers sway gently as you take the staircase to the Cafe on the first floor. On closer inspection, you realize that these are actually glass mugs that have received a creative and colorful makeover. Stepping inside the restaurant is like stepping into a quirky art museum. The restaurant interiors are done up in a funky and yet aesthetic manner.
“At Enerjuvate we focus a lot on hand-made art, we use a lot of DIY structures, watercolors, typography, all these are hand made”, says Darshana Nahata, Founder of Enerjuvate. We look around the bright paintings and other colorful wall hangings that adorn the room, lending it a very pleasing and positive ambiance.
One end of the wall is made up of a huge blackboard with the Enerjuvate logo and has the names of various offerings of the Cafe scrawled casually, giving the cafe an informal aura.
Enerjuvate Studio & Cafe Menu
Enerjuvate is a cafe that serves only vegetarian fare. It also has vegan and gluten-free options if required. The Enerjuvate Cafe Koramangala menu reflects their food philosophy of serving healthy food which at the same time is tasty and flavourful. The Cafe is committed to serving healthy, wholesome food and does not use Maida (Refined Flour), Sugar, and does not microwave food. It uses fresh, organic, ingredients in all its preparations. Even the likes of decadent desserts have been given a healthy makeover.
Our Experience At Enerjuvate
We started our lunch with some cool starters. The menu listed some really exotic and promising drinks that included the likes of 4B Blast – made from Bananas, Berries, Basil, and Beetroot; Coco Mojito – made from tender Coconut, Pineapple, Lemon, and Mint; Carrot Ginger Ale – made from Carrots, Ginger, and Apple juice. We zeroed in on the Total Detox which is a juice made using Tomato, Chillies, Pineapple, and Celery. We also tried the Almond Milk Thandai made from Almond milk and consisting of Dates, Cardamom, Saffron, and Melon seeds. The other unusual drink that we found really refreshing was the Charcoal Rosemary Lemonade that was a heady concoction of Activated Charcoal, Rosemary, Ginger, and Jaggery.
After a refreshing and appetizing start, we were ready to dig into more of the healthy and tasty fare that Enerujavte served fresh and with lots of love.
The creative and artistic touch that is present everywhere in the Cafe also extends to the food it serves. This was amplified as soon as we saw the platter of Desi Sushi appear on our table.
The platter was laden with delicate and beautifully presented pinwheels covered with flamboyant red layers of beetroot. The platter looked like a work of art beautifully crafted with love, too good to eat! However, we reluctantly dug into the Desi Sushi. As the sushi touched our palate, currents of pleasing flavors and tastes reverberated in the mouth, orchestrating a pleasant experience. The Sushi was made from millet and veggies and accompanied by fresh cashew chilli mayo.
The treat for the senses continued with a platter full of Alu Papri Chat full of exotic flavors and presented beautifully.
Next up was something we tasted for the first time, Momos but with a difference. They looked like black diamonds surrounded by different colored dips crystal glass bowls, tastefully dressed with a multi-colored salad. The ‘black diamonds’ turned out to be charcoal whole wheat momos. They tasted as awesome as they looked.
We were full, but we had to try the tantalizingly tempting Zoodle Pad Thai, noodles with strips of Zucchini and carrots that tasted lovely and left a tangy taste in the mouth.
It was indeed a great epicurean experience at Enerjuvate, one of the best cafes in Koramangala and Bangalore. But the climax was still waiting to happen.
It was in the shape of a sizzling brown and white dessert, the Enerjuvate signature Sizzling Brownie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Some of the other tantalizing desserts on the menu included the Enurjuvating Brownie which is made from Dark Chocolate, Ragi and Almond, and flour. There were also other desserts like the Choco Chia Cup, Coconut Cream Panncota, Cakes made of whole wheat and jaggery, and much more.
