After having stayed in various properties of Jungle Lodges And Resorts across Karnataka, it was time to experience the hospitality of JLR Kings Sanctuary in the pristine environs of Nagarhole. We have earlier stayed at Om Beach Resort in Gokarna, Devbagh Beach Resort in Karwar, Bhagvathi Nature Camp in Kudremukh, and Bannerghatta Nature Camp in Bangalore. Here is our experience and review of JLR Kings Sanctuary Resort Nagarhole.
JLR Kings Sanctuary Resort Location – In The Lap Of The Forest
One of the prime attractions of the properties of Jungle Lodges And Resorts is their incredible location, and the Kings Sanctuary Resort does not disappoint in this aspect. It is located far away from the madding crowds, right on the edge of the Nagarhole forest. As you walk within the campus of the resort, the only sounds that you are likely to hear, are the sound of your own footsteps, the whistling of the wind, and the chirping of birds, up in the mango trees.
The location is ideal to unwind and feel connected with nature. It is also great for spending uninterrupted quality time with family and enjoying the bounty of nature. This is one of the best resorts in Nagarhole, Karnataka.

The JLR Kings Sanctuary in Nagarhole offers secluded and exclusive accommodation in the form of cottages, suites, and villas. Spread over 40 acres, the resort offers privacy and seclusion to enjoy quality time with your loved ones.
The rooms are well integrated seamlessly with the environment, however, offer modern comfort and amenities. The room that we stayed in had a spacious living room, a bedroom, a large bathroom, and a balcony that provided a ringside view of the jungle that stretched out into the wilderness.

The beautiful and salubrious environs of the Kings Sanctuary Resort in Nagarhole make it a complete destination in itself. You can choose to just laze in a hammock hung between mango trees and take a leisurely nap. If you prefer to spend your time in more active pursuits, a walk on the 40-acre campus and spotting birds is in itself an interesting activity.
The Jungle Lodges resort in Nagarhole offers many avenues to spend your time in the resort in sedentary or active pursuits. Here are the amenities provided by the resort:

Dining At Kings Sanctuary Resort – Jungle Lodges Nagarhole
It has been our experience at all the properties of Jungle Lodges where we have stayed, that they serve tasty and healthy food keeping in mind the local cuisine. Food at the Kings Sanctuary too was something that we relished. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and High Tea are served in the restaurant that is called Gol Ghar which is located in the centre of the property. The meals are all in the form of buffet spreads, where you can choose from a wide choice.
The restaurant serves the best of local cuisine inspired by the traditional cuisine of the Mysore region. It also incorporates the best of the elements of Pan-Indian cuisine in its menu. They also have continental and Chinese cuisine for those who prefer that. Hence you are likely to see noodles hobnobbing with the likes of Aloo Paratha and Mangalore Bonda on the buffet table.
The ambience of the restaurant too is in seamless harmony with nature and is open to wind and light. You can enjoy your meal, listening to the whispers of nature.

The resort offers standard 2D 1N packages and one can choose between standard and Maharajah packages. The accommodation under the standard category is in Garden Cottages, while that under the Maharajah category is in Suites or Villas. Everything else is the same in both types of packages.

About Nagarhole Tiger Reserve
The Nagarhole Tiger Reserve earlier known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park, is spread over Mysore and Kodagu districts and spans a massive area of about 847 square kilometres. It is a connecting corridor for tigers and elephants to the jungles of the Western Ghats, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Nagarhole Tiger Reserve is a major hub, both for Project Tiger and Project Elephant. It is contiguous with the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary of Kerala.
