Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana

When we were planning our visit to Bangkok and Pattaya in Thailand and researching on the internet for hotels, we were clear on one thing, we wanted a decent hotel in the center of the city which would help us have an immersive experience of the city. We finally zeroed in Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana in Bangkok as it seemed to meet our requirements perfectly. We hoped that we had made the right choice. So here is what we thought of our stay at the Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana.

Location of Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana

Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana

The Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana is located in the heart of the city, just off Sukhumvit Road. This property is situated on Soi 4, which is a side street on the left of Sukhumvit Road. The hotel is strategically located near the happening dining and throbbing night life spots of the area, but at the same time is an oasis of peace, tucked away in a side street. The BTS Sky Train Nana station is located very near the hotel and provides connectivity to zoom across Bangkok on the local Metro.

The Property & Rooms at Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana

The Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana is a 3-star hotel with 200 standard Double rooms available for its guests. It is noteworthy that the hotel has 5 rooms which are specifically meant for people with reduced mobility. The hotel also features 18 connecting rooms. We of course, stayed in a Standard Double room which was clean and equipped with an LCD Television, Refrigerator, and Coffee Maker. Necessary toiletries including a hair dryer were available in the Bathroom. A safe deposit vault was also available in the room.

Food at Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana

As we were out, most part of the day exploring Bangkok, we really did not have our meals at the hotel, except for the Breakfast which we found quite satisfactory. Of course being vegetarians we had limited options but we enjoyed the filling unlimited Buffet breakfast which included dishes from the local Thai cuisine as well as pancakes, and sandwiches. Plenty of fruits and Yogurt along with tea and coffee were available. The breakfast was sufficient to fuel us up for the exploration of Bangkok.

Places Nearby Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana

  • Many pubs, bars, restaurants and massage parlors are situated within a few minutes’ walk from the hotel
  • Shopping Malls like Terminal 21 and MBK Centre are located quite near to the hotel and can be easily reached

The Service at Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana

We found the staff at Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana was helpful and providing unobtrusive and professional service which was what we expected from the Ibis brand. We stayed at the hotel for 4 days and had no issues whatsoever. When we returned at night from our discovery of Bangkok we would find the room cleaned and the bed neatly made up with fresh sheets.

Our Recommendation

We found that the Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana lived up to our specific needs and expectations. Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana is a budget hotel in Bangkok and is centrally located. Our trip was to explore Bangkok and hence all we actually needed was a decent accommodation to rest in after a taxing day. We would recommend the hotel to families as well as Business travellers. Of course, if you are looking at frills like a swimming pool and other resort-like amenities, then this may not be the property that you may like to stay in. You could then look at some of Ibis other properties in Bangkok specifically Ibis Bangkok Riverside. Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana is a no-frills hotel that is comfortable as well as budget-friendly. We found that the most advantageous factor of the hotel is its central location and easy accessibility.

In short, if you are looking for a budget hotel in Bangkok which is centrally located and decent and suitable for a family then we recommend Ibis Bangkok Nana Hotel.

  1. My German friends LOVE Ibis. They stayed at the Ibis in Geneva because they “only” stay at Ibis while everyone else stayed at the wedding hotel. I saw them all over Australia too. They are definitely affordable and clean. The one in Bangkok looks lovely. I love the colorful rooms.

  2. Looks like a great hotel! I completely agree that being in a central location is very important when visiting a large city. I will definitely keep this hotel in mind the next time I visit Bangkok. Thanks for the recommendation!

  3. The hotel is definitely in a great location and certainly has the functionality most people need for a short stay. Plus you can earn Accor reward points which would certainly appeal to me.

  4. The Ibis chain seems to always be in a central location with simple but nice rooms for a great price. Usually I’m staying in a hotel for a night or two between apartment swaps, so it’s a nice change of pace. I’ll have to keep this in mind the next time I’m in Bangkok.

  5. Looks like a nice clean hotel to stay in. Which some days is the best that you can ask for. Thailand can be so tricky to find a reliable hotel. Glad you had a great trip.

  6. I’ve seen Ibis hotels more and more around Europe and had no idea they were in Asia also! I totally try to stay centrally also so this would seem like the perfect place for someone visiting Bangkok. The amenities seem perfect before and after a long day of exploring.

  7. This is in a perfect location really, easily accessible to the rest of the city to explore. I love how they have added a pop of colour to the room.

  8. When I travel abroad I don’t stay in hotels anymore (not unless it’s sponsored and very cheap). I now choose to stay in hostels because I am a budget traveler. But if I ever get I get to Bangkok I’d love to stay at Hotel Ibis. It looks neat and modern, just my type of design. It’s a budget hotel anyway, maybe, just maybe I can afford it. It’s still better to stay in a nice hotel and have the room to yourself than share a room with a bunch of strangers.

  9. Despite the place not appearing to have a lot of charm, I was impressed to read about those rooms to cater for those with special needs.

Allowing pets is also a great touch!

  10. As my plan is also to explore Bangkok this is just perfect, I’ll spend almost all day out and its location makes it a lot easier to just move around and then come back to rest! thanks for the advice!

  11. We always love hotel reviews and this one doesn’t disappoint. Sounds like you had a really lovely stay. Love to hear that they allow pets – always a nice touch! Great pics that really capture the feeling of the place.

  12. The Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana looks like it was really centrally located which does make things so much easier. I’ve stayed in Ibis hotels before and found them to be largely ok. The room actually looks quite spacious and with a very comfy bed!

  13. This does look like a decent hotel if you just want basic accommodations and are on a budget trip. Sometimes, there is really no use in booking a fancy hotel since you’re mostly going out to explore the city anyway. Hotel Ibis looks clean and functional, plus the location is a winner! If we ever head over to Bangkok, I’ll keep this in mind.

  14. Hotel Ibis looks like a fine place to stay. I think I would have to bring my own pillow. We Americans are spoiled. Great location! You did a nice job of listing all of the hotel amenities.

  15. Thanks for the review! I love the Ibis brand, and find that they’re always very centrally located hotels with great value for money with the wifi and breakfast inclusions. Will definitely stay when we head to Bangkok too 🙂

  16. Thanks and not bad ~ I think the Ibis has a good reputation of being professional and always located at a good location. For Bangkok, I always love to stay in hotels near the Central world with a pool. One of favourite hotel in Bangkok would be The Sukhothai Bangkok. @ knycx.journeying

  17. Looks like a prefect location to stay in Bangkok. We stayed further out and it was a really pain to get around! The rooms look clean and comfortable, and, like you, that is all I require because I spend all my time out exploring. I will keep Ibis in mind on my next visit to Bangkok. Thank you.

  18. It looks clean and modern, in a good location – which is everything you need from a budget hotel. Great they have rooms for people with special needs and that they allow pets is different and fun too!

  19. If the location is good and the price is right, then who needs more than a comfortable place to sleep and a base to explore? It looks like a good choice. Thanks for the comprehensive review!

  20. Meets all my main criteria – budget hotel in a central location. Wifi and a shuttle is fantastic too. Pets allowed – thats interesting – did you see any during your stay?

  21. Nana is the perfect location in Bangkok. It’s so central, especially for a shopaholic like me lol. The Ibis looks like a great option that is also great value. Ill be sure to check it out next time I am in town.

  22. I am a big fan of Ibis hotels, I have stayed in a few in France and Belgium. Very centrally located, helpful staff and very clean. I would definitely stay here,

  23. Very informative and well written post. Ibis is obviously a very good chance for finding a good place for sleeping quite close to the city center. Safe, clean and with a nearly unbeatable price – Ibis is definitely a great choice for many travellers!

  24. what a nice facility and that dining area looks like a beautiful and nice way to start your morning. Though I must say when I went to Bangkok I rarely was in my hotel cept to sleep and the street food is phenomenal. Glad you found such a great destination

  25. I looked at this hotel for my trip to Bangkok. I liked the location near the sky train. That’s an absolute must in Bangkok, as it’s too hot to walk too far. I’m glad to hear and see about Ibis. I haven’t stayed with them before but I’ll definitely give them a try in the future.

  26. I’ve never stayed in a Hotel Ibis, I didn’t realise they were such a stylish chain, looks like a great deal on the budget end. Is buffet breakfast usually included in the room rate or do you have to pay extra?

  27. Hotel Ibis Bangkok Nana looks like a great place to stay when in Bangkok. I like the location and that it is a budget option. Like you, we only look at hotels as places to put our head down after a day of exploring. It is also good that it is close to transit.

  28. Overall looks like a good option for those who want to stay in the heart of the city. And the fact that it has some rooms especially meant for those with mobility restriction is really appreciative. We will check the hotel out when we head to bangkok

  29. I’ve stayed in Ibis Hotels in Spain before and have always been comfortable and happy. I didn’t know they were in Asia too! I’m all about a central location so thanks for sharing.

  30. Looks like a great option in Bangkok. I always struggle to know which area I should stay in. I’ve stayed in a couple of the Ibis hotels and I really like them. Didn’t realise they had a location in Bangkok. Noted for my next visit!

  31. Looks like a great hotel in a busy and hectic city! I always find Ibis to be very comfortable and practical but every time in Bangkok, I always find myself in the cheapest of hotels haha!

  32. The Ibis Bangkok is in the perfect location of Nana in soi 4. I expect with the 24 hour nightlife you needed the 24 hour reception. Also in the heat of Bangkok the air conditioning is a must!

  33. One of the things that really stood out to me was how clean the rooms are and how welcoming the front desk area was. I also liked that it has a good location with many pubs and restaurants around. I’m not a fan of street food anywhere and I prefer to eat at a good restaurant. I would definitely stay here!

  34. Very modern look – I love it! That room looks super neat too – that’s something I enjoy about hotels as I tend to travel on business and work from the room a lot.

  35. I wouldn’t mind staying in this lovely hotel if I were ever in Bangkok. It’s really beautiful and spacious! I love the room!

  36. The Ibis Bangkok Nana Hotel looks like a fabulous place to stay. I’m adding it to my list of places to stay in the even I travel in that direction.

  37. Wow this place looks really beautiful! I haven’t been to Bangkok but if I ever do make it out there, this is definitely some place I would love to stay at!

  38. I’ve never been to Thailand but it sounds like this is the hotel to stay at if you’re looking for an inexpensive place to stay close to the city. It looks really nice and clean, features that are sometimes lacking in budget hotels.

  39. Hotel Ibis sounds like a good choice for Bangkok. It’s in a pretty good location too! While it isn’t in the historical section, it does have some nice things nearby. Also, the rooms look great and very clean! Good to know before heading to Bangkok in a month and a half!
