This post is about our stay experience at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel in Hyderabad. Arriving At The Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel
“Shortly, we shall be landing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad”, was the announcement on the PA.
It was a short 45-minute flight from Bangalore to Hyderabad and we were about to land. On our frequent travels, the one thing that we do not like is the travel from and to airports. But this time we smiled as we knew we would be at our hotel within minutes of exiting the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
We were staying at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel – Accor Hotels, a property right next to the Hyderabad Airport. The distance from Hyderabad Airport to Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel is just about 2,8 kilometers and was just a few minutes’ drive away. Novotel Hyderabad Airport is the only international 5-star hotel near Rajiv Gandhi Hyderabad International Airport.
A placard with our names and a broad smile greeted us as we emerged from the arrivals terminals. We were ushered into a waiting car and before we could even settle in our seats, the car drove into the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel, Hyderabad. The property stood in the midst of a large expanse of gardens and had a contemporary look and we had a gut feeling that we were in for some great times.
Hotel Review: Our experience at Novotel Hyderabad Airport
The Reception and Check-In at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel
The smiles that lit up the faces of the staff immediately vindicated our earlier gut feeling of great times. The Check-In was a breeze and took no more than a few minutes. A refreshing welcome drink materialized from seemingly nowhere and a smiling staff member who was the epitome of courtesy escorted us to our room on the sixth floor. He ensured that we were comfortable in the room and explained all we needed to know about the room and its facilities before politely taking his leave.
The Rooms at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel
The Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel has 305 well-appointed rooms that include suites and Premier Executive Rooms.
It was heartening to note that the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel also has a special room for people with reduced mobility as well as connecting rooms to cater to large families.
We stayed in a Premium Executive room that offered some wonderful views of the surrounding landscapes.
The room was spacious and equipped with a large and comfortable Queen bed, a study table and a lounge chair. A large LCD television and Wi-Fi connectivity were at our disposal.
A refrigerator with a mini-bar, safe, iron box and hairdryer were some of the other accessories that were provided. The bathroom was stocked with all necessary toiletries, bathrobe, and slippers. We really loved the subdued decor of the room which gave it an elegant and contemporary look. We felt that the room was great to relax as well as catch up on any pending work.
Buffet Breakfast at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel
A huge breakfast spread awaits in the morning at the restaurant named, “The Square” which is a 24-hour multi-cuisine restaurant that sits pretty by the side of the pool. There is a choice of fresh fruit juices and milkshakes to start off with. A wide selection of continental, Indian, and Asian dishes is available and there are live counters too.
The spread included authentic South Indian breakfast dishes like Dosas, Idly, Vada, and Upma. Parathas and Chhole Bhaturas from North India.
Toasts, Cakes, Doughnuts, Omelettes, Noodles, Fried Rice etc., from International cuisine.
For the fruitarians, there is a wide selection of fresh fruits. After a hearty breakfast, it is always great to wash it down with a steaming cup of hot filter coffee. Breakfast at The Square is indeed a great start to the day.
The Restaurants at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel
There are two restaurants in the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel that provide exciting experiences to the taste buds. The Square is an elegant and spacious multi-cuisine restaurant by the side of the pool. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are served here.
The lavish buffets offered here include live counters that span Indian, Asian, and Western cuisines.
The Square All Day Dining at Novotel Hyderabad Airport is a very convenient feature for travelers with flights at odd hours.
Haldi is a dainty restaurant with a cool and exotic ambience that is exclusively for dinner. It is an Indian specialty restaurant that will give you a truly Indian experience as the aromas and flavours of Indian spices wafting through the room.
Facilities for Rejuvenating the Body and Soul at the Novotel Hyderabad Hotel
There is a large and state-of-the-art fitness centre that ensures that you do not have to sacrifice your fitness regimen while traveling.
For those seeking luxurious pampering, the Novotel Hyderabad Airport – O2 Spa is an indulgence that is sure to drive away from the blues and get you rejuvenated in body, mind, and soul.
A Billiard table placed strategically near the main lobby offers some moments of relaxation and fun.
A dip in the inviting swimming pool is a nice way to burn off some of the calories that you are sure to add on after indulging the rich and tempting food dished out by Chef Varun and his team.
We had the opportunity to watch Chef Varun and his team work their magic with local spices when they cooked a famous Andhra dish called Gutti Vankaya Curry in front of us at the Haldi restaurant. We got to taste the gravy as well as the final product.
Business Meetings or Weddings at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel
Novotel Hyderabad Airport is not just all about business. Yes, it is an ideal hotel for the business traveler with as many as 17 meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 4,500 people.

There is also a small farm where organic vegetables are grown and used in the hotel’s kitchens. A farm-to-table meal can be curated right in the midst of the farm by the chefs of Novotel Hyderabad Airport for special occasions.

What really sets apart a hotel is the service. It was really heartening to find that the service at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel was personalized and always proactive. The service had one abundant ingredient, smiles, which was an ornament that seemed to grace every Novotel Hyderabad Hotel team member.

That little extra is always pleasing and welcome and the Novotel Hyderabad has loads of these that ensure customer delight.

- Catching an early flight and worried about those early morning hunger pangs, not to worry, the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel has an early bird breakfast that starts at 4.30 AM
- You land at a time that is too early for lunch and late for breakfast, no worries, a limited late breakfast would be available at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel
- The Family Sunday Brunch at Novotel, Hyderabad Airport is something looked forward to at the Hotel, a pity that we had an early flight and had to skip this
- There is provision for an Alfresco dinner experience at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel, we were treated to a delightful Iftar dinner that brought alive the vibes of Ramzan, with live music as accompaniment
- In a discreet portion of the lobby there is a giant television screen and neatly arranged around it are some cute looking cubicles where one can have a quiet discussion
- A bar in the lounge serves cocktails, mocktails, and other beverages
How We Rate our Experience at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel
The experience at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel far exceeded our expectations. Generally, people think that the Novotel brand is all about business, a hotel for business travelers that offers clinical and professional, no-nonsense services. But we found that the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel is much more. It is a hotel that you can have a staycation in or be holed up while on a business trip.
A place where you can stay in serene calm away from the hustle and bustle of Hyderabad city and yet be within easy reach. We had a great experience and had a memorable stay. The only thing that we regret about our stay at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel was the duration of our stay. We would have loved to stay for a longer time and pamper ourselves with the hospitality of Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel. The next time we head to the city of Nizams, we know that there is a home waiting for us there, as soon as we land and get out of the airport.

What an awesome looking hotel – it is great that is by the airport as well a lovely place to stay before or after a long trip.
That hotel had everything including the spacious clean rooms. The food looked amazing with traditional and continental assortments of food. I would love to stay there if I go.

The Novotel Hyderabad Hotel looks quite grand. Its good to have such a traveller friendly hotel near the airport. Its great that they cater to all type of guests. And to me, early breakfast is the best thing they offer!
I love Accor Hotels, and the Novotel’s are usually very lovely. The Novotel Hyderabad hotel looks lovely set in those gardens. I love the look of the food served up by Chef Varun – definitely a bonus!

You are correct. Looks like a balance of all four: location, leisure, luxury, business! With a farm-to-table farm plus tennis courts for the hubby and a fitness center for me!
The food looks particularly interesting. I haven’t been to too many airport hotels that have an on-site farm-to-table organic garden. A 24-hour international restaurant sounds pretty dang good too.
I’m not usually a fan of airport hotels, though sometimes they are a necessity. This one looks particularly well thought out though with some great well being offerings and fab looking food. I’d definitely consider if it I was traveling to Hyderabad

Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel checks all the boxes for me, especially with these endless buffets! It seems ideal if you have an early morning flight or a long layover. The organic farm is such a huge plus for the hotel’s kitchen, as it shows that they pay special attention to what they offer to their customers.
I too, have been stuck between airport to airport from Bangalore to Hyderabad it is not fun! The novotel is lovely and definitely has modern conveniences and some traditional indian touches like a big spread of south indian cuisine. The gardens and the outdoor dining area and pool look wonderful!
So posh, especially the lounge and the room. Airport hotels are soooo convenient!
It looks a really good airport hotel, we like the check-in kiosks in the hotel itself.
Some airport hotels can be quite bad and overpriced but this looks much better with good food too.
I like the Hyderabad airport. Lesser flights than bangalore, but the airport has some very useful facilities like the Novotel hotel or even an AC dorm. I have used the AC dorm on a early morning flight to Chennai from Hyderabad. I think if one is travelling on work it saves a lot of time getting into the city, since the hotel is right next to the airport. I remember feeling the same in Pune and its such a relief knowing that 10 minutes after the flight lands in Pune, I will be in my hotel 🙂

The hotel looks great. A fridge is always great in the room. A micro woulda been a great plus. The food looked delicious and the room spacious.
Novotel is my favorite brand as it allows children below 16 in family room and have many facilities. This Novotel hotel near airport of Hyderabad looks very luxurious and full of amenities. I have house in Hyderabad so never stayed in hotel but would definitely refer to my friends who are visiting for business purposes.
Looks like a perfect place to stay in Hyderabad. Not only the location and the hotel decor is perfect, the food adds to the thrill here. Plus all the amenities like the gym and pool table make it even more pleasurable. I think I did briefly stay there on one of my visits (pics look familiar) but am not really sure. Cheers

I am usually a fan of Novotel hotels and they have one near the airport in Delhi as well. They’re simple, chic and the food is really good. I prefer to stay in Novotel when I travel, they’re also reasonably priced. Novotel in Hyderabad also seems to live up to the reputation, with excellent customer service, a spa on site, a lovely swimming pool, very cosy rooms and of course, the yummy food!
Novotel Hyderabad looks great. I loved the rooms which are elegant and spacious. The vegetable garden concept is quite nice. Loved the idea of flight check in from the hotel itself. Also the food spread looks super delicious. This is undoubtedly a great choice for airport hotels in Hyderabad.

Oh man look at all this super delicious foooood. My mouth is watering just at the photos. You wouldn’t think of an airport hotel being so wonderful, but I have to say I’m really impressed!
Its indeed a cool hotel. The vast greenery in it is really relaxing. When you have a room with this green view, waking up to this is a feel good factor. The food options here is too delicious. I can never forget the Biriyani!
