According to the Stats & Facts of the 10th edition, Mexico ranked first in net activities, Italy topped the rankings for net venues, and Cancún emerged as the leading city for both net activities and net venues.
A Decade of Wellness Celebrated Across the Globe

Country statistics are drawn from the official final country figures. City statistics are calculated within a 25 km radius of the city centre.
MEXICO LEADS THE GLOBAL WELLNESS MOVEMENT
Mexico secured the top position in the final activity rankings, registering 754 net activities across 170 net venues.
The country’s impressive national performance was further strengthened by the presence of several Mexican destinations among the world’s most active wellness cities.

It was followed by Tulum (5th place), with 94 activities and 25 venues; Playa del Carmen (8th place), with 50 activities and 11 venues; Los Cabos (9ex), with 48 activities and 14 venues; and Mérida (14th place), with 42 activities and 12 venues.

MONAS TURNS BLUE FOR WELLNESS 💙
In Jakarta, the 10th anniversary was commemorated with a particularly striking visual celebration.
On 18 September 2026, the iconic Monas (National Monument) was illuminated in blue in recognition of World Wellness Weekend.
The blue lighting represented the spirit of wellness and a collective commitment to fostering healthier, more balanced and more meaningful lives.
This special occasion brought the World Wellness Weekend message to one of Jakarta’s most recognisable landmarks:
“Wellness for All — because wellness belongs to everyone.”
Residents and visitors were invited to witness and photograph the rare spectacle of Monas glowing in blue, creating a memorable visual tribute to the 10th anniversary.
Indonesia recorded 205 net activities across 86 net venues in the final country statistics, securing N°9 among 185 countries participating in the 2026 edition.
A GLOBAL MOVEMENT UNITED BY ONE SHARED MESSAGE
From Mexico to Spain, Japan to Vietnam, and Indonesia to Argentina, the 10th World Wellness Weekend showcased the diversity and reach of the global wellness community.
The city rankings further illustrated this geographical diversity. Alongside leading destinations in Mexico and Spain, the statistics featured cities such as Caracas, Singapore, Punta del Este, Santo Domingo and Ho Chi Minh City, among others.
JEAN-GUY DE GABRIAC, FOUNDER OF WORLD WELLNESS WEEKEND
“A decade ago, we set out with a simple vision: wellness should be something that everyone can experience and share. Ten years on, witnessing communities across the world unite around wellness is deeply meaningful. The 10th edition reinforces the idea that wellness knows no borders and that small, local initiatives can contribute to a genuinely global movement, transforming free classes into food donations and blood donations.”
WELLNESS BEGINS WITH “WE”
The statistics reveal only one part of the story.
Behind each activity is an individual making a conscious choice to move, breathe, connect, learn, rest or simply pause for their own wellbeing. Behind every venue is a community creating an environment where wellness can be experienced, enjoyed and shared.
This is the essence of World Wellness Weekend after ten years:
Wellness is not a luxury accessible only to a select few.
Wellness is most rewarding when shared with family, friends, colleagues and wellness buddies.
