The Sri Lanka Tourism Roadshow in South India, October 2025, will bring together key travel industry stakeholders in Madurai, Coimbatore, and Chennai. The event aims to strengthen tourism ties and showcase Sri Lanka’s diverse attractions to Indian travelers.

Sri Lanka Tourism is stepping up its outreach efforts in India with a series of three business-to-business (B2B) promotional roadshows scheduled to take place in Madurai, Coimbatore, and Chennai on October 6th, 8th, and 10th, 2025. These interactive events aim to showcase Sri Lanka’s diverse travel experiences while strengthening ties with the South Indian travel trade community.

Organized by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) and the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB), the roadshows are designed to highlight Sri Lanka as a year-round destination for leisure, adventure, MICE, and cultural travel. The initiative also seeks to boost tourist arrivals from South India, one of the country’s most important source markets.

The delegation is being led under the guidance of Hon. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, and Hon. Prof. Ruwan Ranasinghe, Deputy Minister of Tourism. Joining them are senior officials from SLTPB and SLCB, along with more than 40 key representatives from Sri Lanka’s tourism sector, including leading hotels, destination management companies, resorts, tour operators, and service providers.

Each city will host over 200 Indian travel professionals, tour agents, and media representatives, facilitating direct B2B meetings to encourage future collaborations and partnerships. Adding cultural vibrancy to the gatherings, guests will also enjoy captivating performances by a Sri Lankan traditional dance troupe, offering a glimpse of the island’s rich cultural heritage.

Through this initiative, Sri Lanka reinforces its commitment to positioning itself as a preferred travel destination for Indian visitors, promising a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural treasures, adventure, and world-class hospitality.
