The thrill of paragliding drew us to Bir Billing. We stayed at the Tatva Bir Tents And Hotels in a luxury tent at Bir. Little did we know that our stay at the Tatva Bir Tents and Hotels would be an experience in itself. We were travelling across Himachal Pradesh on a road trip, and after spending time in Dalhousie, Khajjiar, and Dharamshala we had arrived in Bir Billing, the paragliding capital of the world.
We shall talk about our paragliding experience in another post, this one is all about our stay at the Tatva Bir Tents and Hotels.

Tatva Bir Tents And Hotels
The setting sun had coloured the western horizon in a vibrant hue of flaming red, and there was a nip in the air as we reached Tatva Bir Tents And Hotels in Bir.
We were shown to our tent which stood in a corner of the campsite. Behind the tent loomed the shadow of hills which were heavily forested, and we could hear the gurgling sound of a waterfall.
To the right of our tent, the western horizon seemed like a canvas on which someone had spilt orange paint. The silhouette of paragliding parachutes seemed to be touching the sun which was going down with a splash of colour.
It was with reluctance that we tore our eyes away from this beautiful panorama and made our way into our Swiss Cottage Luxury Tent.

Camping is taken to another level at the Tatva Bir Tents and Hotels. Camping is infused with luxury, while the elements of nature are kept at their raw best. Our Swiss Luxury tent was equipped with a room heater and had elegant decor.
The tent was furnished with comfortable beds, a study table, and all amenities that you would expect in a normal luxury hotel. It had an attached bathroom with hot and cold running water. So we had the thrilling experience of staying in a tent in the midst of nature, waking up to forest sounds, and yet not forgoing comfort and luxury. The Tatva Bir Tents And Hotels are perfect for those who want to experience camping without having to rough it out.
Types of Accommodation At Tatva Tents And Hotels Bir Billing
Tatva Tents And Hotels is ideal for those looking for a luxury camping experience in the hills of Himachal Pradesh. It offers a range of tents that are suited for couples, families, and also larger groups.
The tent that we stayed in was a single tent meant for couples and solo travellers. If you are a couple travelling with a kid, this would suffice as the tent is spacious and an extra bed can be conveniently added. They also have a group tent which has three bedrooms and a hall, that can easily accommodate 10 people.
Another option is a tent with two separate bedrooms that are interconnected and ideal for two families that are travelling together.
If you are not really into camping and would rather prefer to stay in a normal hotel room, there is the Madhuvan Tatva Bir which is a resort property nearby. It has luxury rooms, a swimming pool, and lawns to lounge in.
The properties are owned and managed by the husband and wife duo of Suresh and Aruna. While Suresh takes care of the marketing aspects, Aruna looks after the interior design, operations, as well as F&B aspects of the properties.
Food At Tatva Tents And Hotels
Fresh food made using local ingredients is served hot at the Tatva Tents And Hotels.
When we landed there, hot steaming Pakoras with cups of ginger tea, in the chilly weather, set the tone for our experience there.
They have a kitchen garden where they grow organic vegetables. The food served is straight from the farm to the table. The food is customised as per your choice. We enjoyed all our meals during our stay at the Tatva Tents and Hotels.
Other Amenities At Tatva Tents And Hotels
There is a lot of open space in which the luxury tents are located. When you step out of your tent, you land right in the lap of nature. There is a swing on which you can chill and enjoy the bewitching charm that nature unleashes.
As the sun sets and the cold gnaws at your bones, you enjoy the warmth of a bonfire or retire into your heated tent.
Camping is all about the great outdoors and its charms, and you get this in plenty at the Tatva Tents and hotels property.
However, if you want to take a break from nature, you can play a game of table tennis inside the games room.
