  1. I like to fit in kayaking and trekking wherever possible-so those would be my two choices! Curious about alternatives to hotels in Goa though-have you stayed in any Airbnbs or rented homes/rooms from locals at all yet?

    1. Hi Brooke, good to know you love kayaking and trekking. We are couple travel bloggers and generally choose hotels or resorts. Are you planning a visit to Goa and looking for budget accommodation? If so, message us or write to us, we can help you. 🙂

  2. The adventures mentioned in Goa sounds lovely, though I would like to know more about the locations in goa which is kid friendly as well. Would have been great to get some insight on that as well

  3. Very well written! Hypnotic sunsets, coconut flanked roads, voyages of discovery and wistful waves …Boy I feel as if I’ve been seduced. Ha ha ha! I’ve never been to Goa, but after this description it sounds like a place Where I need to be. Seabed wAlking sounds wonderful too!

  4. the Fashion Sherlock

You attracted me with the Sea Bed Walking in Goa. I love water activities even though I don’t know how to swim. Plus I have never seen a turtle up close, and that would be cool.

  5. Goa sounds amazing! Planning that kind of activities definitely make a trip so much more fun! kayaking and trekking both sound like something I would enjoy very much, sadly I’ve never had the chance to try something like that before!

  6. oh my gosh that seems paradise for everyone who loves action! I am not too sportive, but I definitely would enjoy some kayaking and waterfall hiking! I am sure my kids would be super excited about all of them though 😀

  7. There is so much to do in Goa – I had absolutely no idea! When we travel to India, we mostly stay in Delhi so I had no idea there were parts of India that looked this beautiful!

  8. Sea bed walking like you are walking on the coral or only sandy sea floor? I sure hope they are using sustainable methods to conserve the oceans.

  9. Been to Goa but I have not experienced some of these. Particularly sea bed walking. I didn’t know we could do it in Goa. Next time I am going to take this list along and experience Goa all the way more.

  10. If you are still thinking that Goa is only meant for the party animals or the groovy crowds, think again! On your next trip to this beach capital, try some of the adventurous activities in Goa and make the best of an enthralling holiday experience.

  11. You have our hearts pumping fast, thinking of all the adventures we can have in Goa. Walking on the sea bed sounds particularly unique and interesting. As a personal side note, I used to work for a major, global pharmaceutical maker in the US. Most of our main components were manufactured in Goa and sent to the US for packaging. So my first reference for Goa is pharmaceutical manufacturing and not all the wonderful attractions there 🙂 I’ll have to visit in person to reset my imagination and change that.

  12. Really interesting how diverse Goa is. Many people see it as a beach and party place, but there looks to be so much more. It’s definitely on our list of places to visit.

  13. michele peterson

I’ve always considered Goa as just a beach destination but you’ve pointed out a huge selection of other things to do. I’ve never even heard of sea bed walking but it does sound intriguing.

  14. I’ve never been to Goa but it sounds like a great place to go. There seems to be loads to go and you’ve really sold it as a holiday destination! I love a bit of kayaking and surfing – I never realised you could surf in India! The sea walk sounds really intriguing too, thanks for sharing.

  16. Thanks for this list. I am traveling to GOA next month . I hope I would try all of these. THanks for sharing! Cheers

  17. Nichole Shirell

Seabed walking is something I want to experience. I cannot swim an I love that it not required to participate.

  18. OMG! I wish I knew about this before, when I travelled to Goa last year. But I’ll consider it for next time I go to India. Thanks for sharing!

    Cheers from Argentina 🙂

  21. From the words you use I can only conclude that you are really deeply in love with Goa. I acutally wasn’t aware there was an option for trekking, which is my thing. Maybe I should give Goa a chance 🙂

  22. Goa looks like a magical paradise for the sun loving, beach going want to be outside all the time type. Playing on that beach would be such a great and relaxing way to spend the day and all that food looks delicious.

  23. The way you described the place is simply magical. It was easy for me to imagine the things that I could do by reading your article. I haven’t ridden a bicycle for quite some time and it made me feel warm imagining doing it in a place as beautiful as Goa. I also want to do the trekking to see the waterfalls.

  24. What a wonderful place to enjoy life’s simple pleasures – marveling at nature’s beauty! I would love to do the sea bed walk. I’ve had friends who experienced it and said it was beyond awesome!

  25. I´d never heard of sea bed walking before! I get nervous if I can´t see where I´m walking, but as long as the sea is clear I´d be fine. I love watching little fishes darting about in the water, and keeping my eyes open for crabs or rays or any other sea life!

  26. Wow, it seems like you really can’t be bored in Goa. I’d never even heard of sea bed walking, but it sounds really interesting.

  27. That is so pretty. I love beachy places like this. I would love to visit Goa someday. I could imagine myself lying there with a cocktail in one hand and a book in the other. It seems so peaceful.

  28. I love to go places where I can be active .. as well as vacation. If I was in Goa it would be bike rides on the beach and sea bed walking!

  29. I’m so glad there’s so much more information on Goa coming up. I’ve been hearing a lot about it and I’m so inspired to go there. I’d be super interested in trekking, spending time at waterfalls and even going to animal sanctuaries. Do you know if they offer surfing lessons there?

  30. I have never thought to visit Goa but this looks like an amazing vacation destination indeed. These activities would be so awesome to experience. The Sea bed walking is something that I would so love to do. Thanks for sharing your experiences and these amazing activities.

  31. Some incredible activities for a distention renowned for it’s fabulous beaches – I’ve never heard of sea bed walking before though, that sounds quite epic!

  32. I’m not sure wha sea bed walking is but kayaking and trekking are my thing although I haven’t really done those in India. I don’t recommend running that is for sure as I got chased by dogs running down the beach. Lol. I love the yoga in Goa though

  33. Right up my ally, I just love adventures and Goa has been on my bucketlist for sometime. One of my favorite artists named their record label after a beach there, Anjuna and ever since I was in high school listening to that music made me want to go. I’ve honestly never heard of seabed walking, sounds interesting. Though, I think I would like the kayaking and trekking the best!

  34. Your photos and posts lately have me wanting to visit Goa 🙂 I have to say I think that surfing and a nice bike ride sound like the most fun to me. It looks like a lot of adventures can be had here!

  35. Taking surfing lessons in Goa sounds like so much fun. What an exotic adventure! I know how to surf a little, but I’d need more instruction to tackle 10 feet waves. Still, I get excited just thinking about this.

  36. I’ve never even heard of seabed walking. I don’t know how much I would enjoy it, having a pretty serious phobia of the ocean, but Trekking is one of my very favorite things to do and I would like to kayak as well! I keep hearing a lot about Goa… I guess it’s time to check it out!

  37. And now they have even added more activities. I would love to do hot air ballooning here and try out the Scuba as well. Goa always pleases

  38. Would love to go trekking in the middle of that verdant greens…maybe spot a hidden waterfall? And kayaking is a very relaxing activity too, though I hadn’t associated it with Goa.

  39. Great post. I am not a person that can lay on the beach for days as I get bored. It’s good to see there is more to do in Goa that can keep you busy. Planning to go there on my next India trip.

  40. Trekking is my main activity when I’m travelling, but here there’s so much more to do! I love the fact that you won’t get bored and that you can fit in a lot of activity!

  41. I think out of everything on this list, I’d want to go seawalkimg in Goa! I’ve never even heard of that before, but it sure sounds amazing!!

  42. This is awesome. I would love to go trekking in Goa – and chill on the beach of course! One of my friends is there right now and her pictures are making me really want to visit!

  43. Trekking in Goa? Didn’t think this could happen as I picture Goa as of a beach resort. Now I want to come here even more. Bring on my massive trip to India…when I get around to it 🙂

  44. I’ve never heard of sea bed walking but all these activities sound great! I love being active when I’m away on holiday so I’ll keep an eye out for some of these! Thanks for sharing.

  45. Never associated Goa with adventure. As many people I thought it was all about partying and beaches! That seabed walking intrigues me, how does it work? Do you wear oxygen bottles like when you’re diving?

  46. I’ve read a lot about Goa recently. I think if I were to travel to India, I would make sure to hit up Goa. The trekking looks amazing, but I can never turn down a good beach destination!

  47. Goa is definitely one of my most favorite destinations in the world for the ease it offers and the peace it assures, besides being so budget-friendly. Sea walk and cycling are definitely my favorite activities to do in the beachtown. 🙂 Love this paradise!

  48. I have yet to get to India, and reading this encourages me to move it up to the top of the list. The seabed walk intrigues me, as non-swimmers can enjoy it too. How does it work? Is it with SCUBA tanks? Kayaking also called to me, but I am not a surfer. Looks like Goa will have to be on my list.

  49. Thank you for sharing this different side of Goa with us! Walking the sea floor certainly sounds interesting and new…

    Happy continued travels,
    C

  50. all of the mentioned activities sound an adventure to me except the seabed as I always fear to stay under the water. I remembered that I failed to do my first open water scuba diving even though I was excited to do it! haha Goa has indeed great and fun adventures to offer!

  51. Goa looks wonderful and there is so much to do, lots of outside activities which is so great! I would love to visit. You were able to get so many great shots.

  52. I loved Goa! I sat on the beach with a cocktail and watched the sun go down every night! It was a really beautiful place, especially with the drum circle beating behind me. I hope to go back soon!

  53. stacey veikalas

I have never been to Goa but it looks gorgeous. I love all the activities and seems like there is something for everyone. My family would love to kayak and trek beautiful place.

  54. I have been to Goa several times and now wondering that I haven’t tried even one of these adventures in Goa. Walking on seabed and trekking to Dudhsagar waterfall is surely going to be on my list during next trip. Thanks for sharing this.

  55. Goa 😍 You talk to any Indian and they love Goa. I have visited Goa many times and I didn’t know Goa could offer many more things than the beaches and the parties. Glad to know all of these activities and I will make sure I do these when I visit Goa again.

  56. This is right up my street! I love being active but for some reason didn’t associate Goa with all these awesome activities. I would definitely bike, hike and kayak in the area and wouldn’t mind to try some surfing too! Definitely has made me consider Goa on my future trip to India!

  57. I visited Goa but didn’t do any of these activities, but then again, we were here to relax after a week touring the Golden Triangle so only made it down to Palolem and the waterfall 🙂 Great suggestions for a future visit though! #feetdotravel

  58. I would do kayaking and trekking, these are my favorite ones from your list! And oh, yes biking but only if it is mostly flat (I have a knee problem)

  59. I end up going to Goa at least once a year and everytime I go to Goa I find something new to do. I loved parasailing in Goa and loved hiking the Dudhsagar falls as well. But most of the time I prefer being a beach bum on the beaches of Goa.

  60. Goa looks like the perfect destination for warm weather activities like water sports. I think that surfing sounds like a lot of fun. It get cold in Canada so going somewhere warm is fun to do to get away from the weather here.

  61. Goa, is a place I think almost every youngster of our age wants to go and frankly speaking ,this article /write-up ,helped me a lot. The text is beautifully written with amazing use of similies and metaphors. The best part I think was the flow of writing,it perfectly went from describing the place to telling about unique things you can do. The activities are simple ones but many people aren’t aware. At last,I would just say really well written.

  62. There seem to be so many great adventures to go on when visiting Goa! I would love to go kayaking on the sea or trekking in the mountains. The seabed walking, I’ve never heard of it and I am curious how it can be. I would love to see the world underneath the water.

  63. I would anytime prefer Scuba over Sea Walking. This is a great listicle. Kayaking is another thing that I love to do, the first time I used a Kayak was in Maldives. Goa is always an amazing place to be at.

  64. I’d love to cycle in Goa. Actually once I tried but everyone only had oil guzzling bikes and nobody offered cycles. But that was a few years ago and not sure if I was asking at the right places. Can you provide some specific information on cycle rental services?

    1. There are many cycle rentals in Goa, you can try this one CyclingZens CIBA, Agnel Technical Education Complex, Assagao,, Mapusa road Khorlim, Assagao, Goa 403507. Phone: 098922 17936. There are many companies that also offer customized cycling tours.

  65. I am not a water person and due to which I don’t indulge in water activities that much. Out of the list, I would like to go for cycling. Though rest of the activities are fun to try in Goa. I love spending my time at the beach admiring the sea for hours.

  66. Such a great list with activities in Goa. I would love to kayak there, I think it would be a nice experience. I always wanted to surf but I never had time to take some lessons, maybe next year I will block some time for it. Thanks for sharing.

  67. Never realised you could have such an active holiday in Goa! I’d love to go trekking or cycling – unfortunately I can’t swim so water based activities are out, but trekking looks fun!

  68. Thank you for introducing me with the sea-bed walking activity and where to find it. Never knew such a thing existed. I thought only motorbiking (and scooty biking) is popular in Goa but not cycling. This information relieves me as I cannot ride a motorbike but can easily manage a cycle!

  69. There looks like there’s a lot more to do on the beaches of Goa than in Kerala. Can’t wait to go check out Goa on my next visit to India.

  70. Last weekend, we were with a couple of indian friends and they highly recommend Goa. They talked about it like it was Paradise, then now I see this. I like that there are different kind of activities to do for everyone. Surfing, trekking and kayaking would be on the top of my list.

  71. The snorkeling boat trip made my day.Simply a WOW experience! swimming with dolphins.I.The calmness and the beauty of the marine life are worth experiencing.Really enjoyed the entire trip!! the guide was very helpful to us.Thanks to sea water sports

  72. The trip was amazing especially the Advanced water sports Packages activities which they provided us which I really enjoyed a lot. Jetski ride, parasailing, banana ride along with the beauty of marine life was the best experience in Goa. thank u sea water sports. http://bit.ly/2Is0MnQ

  73. Scuba diving in Goa was at it best with Swayourway. I will never forget this memorable moment and the guides there really treated us very well and took good care of us. It was a great underwater experience Its mean blasting directing underwater stuff.
