Jodhpur is the main city of what is known as the Marwar region of the state of Rajasthan. The region partly lies in the vast Thar Desert that stretches from India to Pakistan. The city of Jodhpur is a major attraction for tourists with many iconic monuments that include the Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jaswant Thada, and others. Along with Jaipur, Jaisalmer, and Udaipur, Jodhpur is one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Rajasthan, India.

Our Experience Of Staying At Hotel Indana Palace Jodhpur

We fell in love with the hotel, at first sight, the facade of the hotel had the appearance of a magnificent palace. A lush green lawn in front and a fountain completed the picture of a regal palace worthy of royals. We looked forward to a couple of days of staying like royals at the Hotel Indana Palace Jodhpur.

A doorman with hands folded in the customary, “Namaste,” gesture greeted us warmly at the swinging glass doors that led to the lobby. He wore a colourful Rajasthani turban, and of course, had a big moustache which in many ways is synonymous with Rajasthan.

Once inside we were offered cold napkins to freshen ourselves and served chilled welcome drinks. After we were settled down, we were escorted to our room, to begin our stay at the Hotel Indana Palace Jodhpur.

The Lobby of Hotel Indana Palace Jodhpur

The lobby of Indana Palace Jodhpur is in itself an indication of the taste of things to come. It gives a sense of opulence without at the same time being garish. The decor is subtle and sophisticated.

Luxurious sofas and chairs are strewn around the lobby, and at the centre is a small fountain. A glittering chandelier hangs from the roof in the centre. The walls are adorned with paintings that are in harmony with the decor and the heritage of Rajasthan. Glass doors on either side lead towards the interior of the hotel.

The Ambience of Hotel Indana Palace Jodhpur

The magnificence of the regal culture of erstwhile Marwar greets you at every nook and corner of Indana Palace Jodhpur. The long corridors that form a rectangle around a massive courtyard in the centre evoke a sense of spaciousness and elegance that is reminiscent of any royal building in the world.

Belgian glass windows, ornate columns and arches, water fountains, and spacious lawns, give the guests the feeling of living in a royal residency. This regal ambience extends from the lobby to the restaurants, the rooms, the corridors and the ballrooms. Every step in the hotel is a tour of architecture and design that brings alive the grandeur of the past. However, the Hotel Indana Palace is as modern as they come and offers state-of-the-art facilities that are in perfect harmony with the sense of heritage that it evokes.

The Rooms At Hotel Indana Palace Jodhpur

There are different categories of rooms to choose from at the Hotel Indana Palace Jodhpur. You have a choice of Executive and Premium rooms as well as uber-luxury suites that are the epitome of luxury, comfort, and class.

We stayed in one of the Premium rooms and found it comfortable and luxurious with all amenities taken care of. The room was spacious and elegant and had traditionally carved wooden furniture and a comfortable bed. Marble flooring, Jaali work, and paintings that hung from the walls evoked the sense of luxury in Rajasthani Haveli with all the modern comforts.

The room was furnished with a study table, teapoy, a small sofa, and a comfortable bed. It had ambient lighting with elegant lamps, placed at strategic points.

The bathroom was modern and luxurious and had a bathtub and was equipped with premium toiletries. Other room amenities included a complimentary fruit platter, LED television, Tea/Coffee Maker, Iron and Iron board, Bathrobe and slippers, free Wi-Fi, and telephone.

Suites At Hotel Indana Palace Jodhpur

If you are looking to stay in royal style, then the Indana Palace hotel has royal suites that are sure captivate your attention.

Junior Suites are spacious rooms measuring about 486 sq feet and evoking the elegance of Rajasthani decor in every corner. Wooden panelling and other embellishments simulate the ambience of a royal hunting cabin. It has a separate sitting area and a balcony from where one can enjoy the evening ambience. It has a glass partitioned bathroom with a deep-soak bathtub, and shower cubicle.

If you want luxury beyond what the Junior Suites offer, you have the option of 8 well laid out suites that the Hotel Indana Palace Jodhpur has on offer. These suites spread over a massive 700 sq feet area, and each are designed meticulously with an individual theme. They have an ornate design and every inch of it the room whispers, “royalty and luxury.” The suites have separate living rooms, powder rooms, living rooms, and balconies. They are equipped with two television sets, and are indeed the hallmark of luxury living at its finest.

If you are looking for something beyond the ordinary, an experience that is out of the world, then the Presidential Suite will ensure that your stay is the stuff that dreams are made of. The Presidential Suite simulates the experience of staying in a real palace with its ornate decor and furnishings. It has a master bedroom, a living room, a visitors powder room, and much more. It has a separate bath tub and walk in shower. The balcony offers a window to the outside, in case you want to step out from the luxury that envelops you inside.

Dining At the Hotel Indana Palace Jodhpur

During our stay at the Hotel Indana Palace, we had our breakfast and lunch at the multi-cuisine in-house restaurant named Anghiti Restaurant. It is a delightfully done restaurant ornamented with motifs that bring alive the rich heritage and culture of Rajasthan.

The breakfast at Anghiti is an awesome spread of dishes from local cuisine to Pan-India dishes as well as continental fare. For breakfast you have your idlis and dosas or bread toast and omlettes, fresh fruits and juices, or paranthas, washed down with tea or coffee.

Lunch and dinner are also an elaborate affair where you can enjoy your meal from the multi-cuisine restaurant in its lovely ambience and choose from its wide menu.

Hotel Indana Palace Jodhpur also has a coffee shop called Lotus Cafe, because of the many lotus paintings that adorn it. It is an elegant and cosy place to nibble on a quick snack as you sip an invigorating cup of your favourite brew and indulge in an informal or formal chat.

If you are looking to unwind after a hectic day of sightseeing in Jodhpur, you can head to i-Bar, the luxury bar of Indana Palace Hotel and chill in its elegant environs.

The Courtyard which is one of the attractions of the Indana Palace hotel and is a massive open-air rectangular lawn, is also converted into an open-air buffet dining venue depending on the weather.

There is a separate Children’s play area, to keep your little ones engaged and happy, while the older ones can also spend time in the Billiards room.

The huge banquet halls of the hotel can be used as one massive hall or segregated into individual halls named, Rang Mahal, Hawa Mahal, and Jal Mahal, with each spanning an area of about 3,200 sq. ft.

For smaller gatherings or conferences the hotel has the Marwar Hall with an area of 1,462 sq. ft., and the Mewar Hall with an area of 952 sq.ft.
